Fashioning inclusion, one stitch at a time.

Led by refugee tailor and designer Judtine Nde, Vymata is both a professional sewing enterprise and a space for healing and empowerment.  Through fashion, we turn stories of survival into stories of strength.

Vymata offers expert tailoring, alternations, and custom designs.  Whether you’re repairing a beloved garment or creating something new, you’re part of a story of resilience and renewal.

At the heart of Vymata lies a workshop where survivors of trafficking and domestic violence come togethter to learn tailoring, upcycling, and entrepreneurship.

The Social Lab

The Vymata Social Lab is a safe, inclusive space for women recovering from displacement, isolation, trafficking, and violence. It is the heart of Vymata's social mission: a place where women learn skills, build confidence, and rediscover community.

Where healing meets hands-on learning
Participants receive hands-on training in: sewing, knitting and clothing production; upcycling and sustainable design; basic entrepreneurship and collaborative management.

Training & Empowerment
The Social Lab also hosts peer support groups and creative sessions; inclusion activities connecting migrants and locals; and collaborations with Cypriot artists and ethnical fashion designers. Each participant leaves not only with new skills but with a sense of belonging -- and a path forward.

Every piece created at Vymata tells a story of resilience. Through "Made by Survivors" label, our artisans transform garments of personal meaning -- once lined to loss, love or struggle -- into unique, wearable art. This is not fast fashion. This is slow, soulful craftsmanship -- a conversation between material and memory.

Our Promise
Vymata aims to grow into a recognised ethical fashion brand -- rooted in Cyprus, inspired by courage, and connected across borders. We're developing a training toolkit and certification system that will allow others to replicate our model responsibly under the "Made by Survivors" umbrella.
